Pearl Dymond

Pearl Dymond has been described as Taranaki's greatest women bowler. While she won 16 Taranaki titles, she also went on to take out the New Zealand singles title in 1979.

At 57 Pearl competed at her first Commonwealth Games and as part of a triple team, Pearl won silver. Highlights were being the oldest of all the New Zealand athletes and getting to meet the Queen.

Pearl died in 2010 and the TSB Bank Bowls Museum is honoured to hold a collection of treasured objects belonging to Pearl.
